Two more weeks to D Day and I am growing restless.
According to pregnancy literature labour could start anytime between now (38) and 40 weeks.
We are ready - textbook ready at least.
The nursery is equipped; the car seat bought and installed.
The hospital bag is packed and standing by the door.
Haircut? Check.
Facial? Check.
Bikini wax? Check.
Maybe only a pedicure left to do, but not too important, really.
I'm having a hard time concentrating or being productive. Even cooking seems a bit of a bother now.
When I go to bed, I wonder if tonight is the night that my waterbag will break. Waking up to go to the loo, I check my panty liner for signs of the show.
On one hand I can't wait to be done with labour and delivery. But I am also aware that life as I know it will change forever once the day is over.
I'm counting down my days of freedom.
I'm counting down to when I can see and hold my daughter.
I'm counting down to the day I become a mother.
My days are filled with conflicting emotions.
