Hi everyone!
Just a short update before I post about Ellie's birth story.
Thank you for all the congratulatory notes, gifts and well wishes - Kisu and I are settling well into parenthood. I never in my life would have imagined that I would enjoy motherhood this much - am enjoying feeding, burping, etc despite the lack of sleep, etc. We have an excellent confinement nanny and we are benefiting from her years of experience with handling babies.
I am recovering nicely from the stitches, still feel on an adrenaline rush and could move around very comfortably straight after labour (the painkillers help!). We even brought Ellie out for her first excursion to the world yesterday, when we went to Paragon for a paed. visit and actually ventured to shop around for groceries after!
Am suffering from pretty bad water retention (ironic given that I had minimal symptoms during the pregnancy) so my finger joints ache a bit and I have swollen feet, but it's nothing major. Just started my course of post natal massages today - am so enjoying getting a massage after months of going without!
Oh, and yes.
Everything was well worth it :)

Yay! Don't worry abt the swelling, I had it too. If it's already in your feet you're well on the way to it disappearing. It starts on the face and moves downward. :)
