I think I'm feeling better.
I'm still throwing up, my stomach occasionally feels acid-y, and I still tire easily, but my tastebuds are, I would say, 70% back! I'm beginning to taste food again - there is still some weird aftertaste, but not as bad as it was before. So, I've actually been able to make some suggestions on what I'd like to eat, instead of baulking each mealtime. And I no longer have to eat every 2 hours! Thank goodness - I'm more or less OK with 3 regular meals and something small in the afternoon.
And, I managed to go shopping over the weekend!
As I've mentioned before, I've been running out of clothes to wear - even my fitted stretchy Ts are starting to feel uncomfortable, mainly because of the growing bustline. My body is looking - and I am feeling - increasingly ah-soh. I had been hoping to avoid buying an entirely new lingerie wardrobe by using bra extenders, but unfortunately (or fortunately to some, depending on how you view it), it seems that it's more my cup size that has gone up, not my girth. My bra cups have been cutting into my skin, leaving me with itchy welts all over.
So top of my list for shopping over the weekend were new bras - ones for wearing out, and some comfy cotton ones for home (I'd been relying on my good old sports bras for home, but even those were getting stretched out of shape!)
My top concerns were support, because I'd been feeling kinda of saggy, and comfort. I wasn't sure what size to get, because everything is now in flux, so I requested for a saleslady at M&S to check that the one I was trying was OK. It was really amazing, because the lady who came to check on me was pregnant too! She told me that it was better to avoid underwire bras during pregnancy (and all I had picked were underwires because I thought they gave better support!) and helped me pick something else instead. I also got some of their (really unflattering but good support and comfortable) cotton maternity bras.
Clothing wise, I managed to pick up a stretchy skirt from Project Shop, and 4 pieces from Mango at just $112! Some T-shirts and pants, and my best buy I think was a $49 bubble like dress - lots of room to grow into and very comfy.
I also enjoyed part of the weekend browsing at Kino and Borders - it struck me, as I was sitting in Borders pouring over a book that I was feeling vaguely normal again. I had been so tired and grouchy previously that I would never have wanted to spend hours on end at a bookshop. But I managed to check out the magazines, and my favourite craft and design sections - even spent a small bomb at Kino on Domino and Martha Stewart Living mags, and some design books.
Oh, and I've started to cook again! More on that in my next post.

Show off your new wardrobe! Take photos of them sprawled on bed. Better yet, model them for us to looksy looksy!
:P
Ok, now this is promising - upping a couple of cup sizes is definitely a plus. One brownie point for the pro-pregnancy team ...
congratulations! just went through all your posts on this new blog. pregnancy is so tough... I can't do anything to help but I'll be cheering for you from the sidelines!
yay! when you can shop with relish, it's always a good sign. :)
try bravado! bras. they make nursing bras, but they also have a range of non-nursing ones. the bras have elastic rib bands, so you'll feel comfy. glamourmom: it looks like the usual spaghetti tank top, but really is a nursing top in disguise.
re: puke. you do realise you can milk it for all it's worth with the hubbs & kid? i still use the 'i was in labour for 14 hours' line! :P
