Mummy Programmes

I've been watching quite a few programmes on this cable channel recently - Discovery Home and Health

Lots of pregnancy & mummy programmes, mostly with none-too-encouraging titles:

+ Surviving Motherhood - mothers crying over guilt and other issues
+ Pregnancy for Dummies - I watched the 3rd trimester installment, so I learned about the 3 stages of labour, mucous plugs, got to see women labouring, undergoing epidurals, VEs and a C section being done. Niiiicccce.
+ Human Stories - Sextuplets - What can I say? OMG
+ Making room for Baby - this one I like 'cos it's an interior decorating programme
+ Taming Toddlers - hmm, not a very reassuring title eh? Haven't watched this one in earnest yet since I figure I'm quite a while away yet from this stage, but from the trailers, it seems to be all about screaming, writhing toddlers throwing food around.

Obviously, I wouldn't have watched these programmes previously, but they have taken on new meaning in my knocked up state. I figured it would be better to be informed about the changes and events that will inevitably follow.

It could be the hormones, but I always end up tearing at the birthing scenes, when the mum holds her new baby for the first time!

Oh please, D and both teared when we held Danielle for the first time! It's not the hormones, I can tell ya that!

Did you receive my card?

i was obsessed with birth stories after my little guy was born; the playgroup mamas traded them every time we meet! :)
