Battle Scars

Ah, it has happened.

The dreaded stretchmarks have struck.

I thought they were burst blood vessels at first. They started as 2 purplish lines of splotches creeping up from the bikini line towards my navel. At yesterday's doctor's appointment, the nurse told me what they were.

Drats.

It's genetic, my doc says. Sigh. Could also be the rapid growth of the belly in the last few weeks.

Well, I tried my best - I started slathering on cream ever since I found out I was pregnant. As of now, I have amassed 3 different types of anti-stretchmark cream: Mustela Stretch Marks Intensive Action, Sothys Sublime Firming Cream, and the famous Clarins Huile Tonic Treatment Oil.

The oil I find works best in easing the itch that comes with the stretching.

But even with my tummy, thighs and butt being as shiny as a prata griddle, it looks like I can't stop the inevitable. I already spot the beginnings of 2 more lines sprouting.

As consolation, I'm told that Strivectin is quite effective in reducing them post natally. And my massage lady, whom I've just booked for my post natal massage tells me that she has a product to recommend which she says has got really good feedback from her previous clients.

One can only hope.

In the meantime, I will not scratch...

Bio oil is apparently the best... comes highly recommended.

Hi, I'm currently pregnant and started to develop stretch marks on 7th months eventhough I have been religiously applying the cream before it's even showing. :(

Is Strivectin really works?

Thanks
