Bump Dressing

For a couple of hours on Saturday night, I felt a bit like my old self. I didn't feel the weight of my tummy, the strain in my joints and the stress on my feet.

I wore a nice dress, heels, makeup, and jewellery. This, for someone whose current epitome of chic is a pair of jeans (and not my sloppy gauchos or cargo pants).

Here I am getting ready to go for Eliz's wedding dinner.

When I bought this dress, there was a fair bit of space where my tummy is. The dress pretty much hung straight down. On Saturday, as I put it on, I realised that it was hugging my tummy. Given that I bought this just 2 weeks ago, you can imagine how much I've grown since then.

Speaking of which, the dress is just lovely - so comfortable, it has a bit of sheen and stretch and didn't make me look like a beached whale. I even managed to walk differently - none of that usual pregnancy waddling. It was great to be in heels again! And one of the advantages of pregnancy - due to my inbuilt "heater" - I didn't have to carry along my usual can't-do-without shawl for the chilly hotel.
